Lauren Daigle has signed with Capitol, Interscope and Capitol Christian Music Group, making her debut with the companies through two Christmas recordings. “Sleigh Ride” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” recorded with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, arrived digitally October 30.
The collaboration brings Daigle together with fellow Louisiana musicians for a New Orleans-rooted holiday release. The label says a seven-inch vinyl edition will follow November 27. Her Behold Christmas Tour is scheduled to open December 2 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Holiday recordings rooted in Louisiana
Daigle describes the collaboration as bringing different musical styles together with a New Orleans second-line spirit. The Behold Christmas Tour includes two Ryman dates, December 2 and 3, followed by December 5 and 6 shows at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and a December 12 finale in Orlando.
