Carter Faith has released “Still The Sparrow Sings,” a song written and performed for the Netflix film Heartland. The October 30 track connects her recording career with her acting debut in the country-music thriller.
Faith plays Charlie Heart, the missing niece of a former country star portrayed by Jessica Chastain. Heartland arrives on Netflix November 13, with the soundtrack also scheduled for that date, according to the music announcement.
A song connecting music and film
Directed and written by Shana Feste, Heartland follows Chastain’s character, Misty Jones, as she returns to Nashville to investigate her niece’s disappearance. Netflix identifies Faith’s character as Charlie Heart. The new song arrives ahead of the film, rather than marking a new announcement of its release date.
